What biohacker Bryan Johnson\u2019s test showed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"\">\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">American entrepreneur turned biohacker Bryan Johnson is no stranger to esoteric self-experiments in the quest to live a longer life, from injecting Botox into his genitals to receiving blood plasma infusions from his teenage son.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">But this month he took a trip of sorts, streaming live on social media his experience of taking psilocybin, a psychedelic ingredient found in magic mushrooms, as a longevity therapy.<\/p>\n<div datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1xdhyk6 ec74h0k0\">The 48-year-old <span data-qa=\"Component-Text\" class=\"css-0 ef9u0v00\">founder of the Don\u2019t Die movement<\/span> wore a brain activity monitor to record the effects when he took a 4.67-gram dose of dried <em data-qa=\"ContentSchemaRender-defaultRenderMapFunctions-Component\" class=\"css-1mniedq ex3nmsa15\">Psilocybe cubensis<\/em> (B+ strain) mushrooms containing 24.9mg of psilocybin, mixed with orange juice.<\/div>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">An Instagram post detailed the event.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cIt felt like my consciousness was dialled up to 10\/10. I felt hyper aware and alive and insatiably curious. The experience was exhilarating and positive in every way.
