{"id":15355,"date":"2025-11-29T08:13:33","date_gmt":"2025-11-29T00:13:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=15355"},"modified":"2025-11-29T08:13:33","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T00:13:33","slug":"singapore-re-elected-to-uns-international-maritime-organization-council-for-17th-successive-term","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=15355","title":{"rendered":"Singapore re-elected to UN\u2019s International Maritime Organization council for 17th successive term"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE &#8211; Singapore was re-elected to the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on Nov 28, according to the United Nation\u2019s agency responsible for the safe shipping and the prevention of marine and atmospheric pollution by ships.   <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">It will be the Republic\u2019s 17th successive term, said the Ministry of Transport (MOT) in a statement on Nov 28, following the vote in London.     <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Mr Jeffrey Siow, Acting Minister for Transport, led the Singapore delegation, which included officials from the MOT and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) to the British capital.   <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cSingapore is honoured to have the opportunity to serve on the IMO Council.
