{"id":14915,"date":"2025-11-27T17:07:40","date_gmt":"2025-11-27T09:07:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=14915"},"modified":"2025-11-27T17:07:40","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T09:07:40","slug":"stomper-lodges-police-report-against-very-childish-man-who-opened-car-door-in-middle-of-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=14915","title":{"rendered":"Stomper lodges police report against &#8216;very childish man&#8217; who opened car door in middle of road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">A driver was seen stopping in the middle of a road and opening his car door without checking for traffic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">He also allegedly later blocked Stomper <span><b>Lim<\/b><\/span> from parking after getting honked at.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">Lim<span><b> <\/b><\/span>said the incident happened at BMW Performance Motors along Alexandra Road on Nov 23 at about 5.30pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">According to him, the white car had come to a halt near the entrance of a carpark when the driver suddenly opened his door, which Lim said could have resulted in a collision.<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"video-container my-lg w-[620px] h-[349px]\" src=\"https:\/\/players.brightcove.net\/4802324446001\/default_default\/index.html?videoId=6385547965112\" title=\"#NoTapis\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">&#8220;The self-entitled idiot stopped in the middle of the road to open his doors,&#8221; the Stomper added. &#8220;He was unhappy that I honked to warn him that an accident might occur.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">Lim also claimed that driver, who had family members with him, later blocked him from parking.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">&#8220;This is the reason why road rage occurs. He has no sense of safety, parking in the middle of the road to alight passengers. He even had the cheek to berate me afterwards,&#8221; Lim told Stomp.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">&#8220;I can&#8217;t be bothered to entertain his bullying antics. I just hope he learns a lesson \u2013 or at least checks before opening his doors next time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">The Stomper subsequently lodged a police report: &#8220;I realised that it is actually an offence to open vehicle doors without looking out for traffic.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">Under the Road Traffic Act, opening a car door in a manner that endangers other road users can lead to a fine of up to $2,000, a jail term of up to three months, or both.
