{"id":13647,"date":"2025-11-22T15:59:43","date_gmt":"2025-11-22T07:59:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=13647"},"modified":"2025-11-22T15:59:43","modified_gmt":"2025-11-22T07:59:43","slug":"police-looking-for-car-driver-after-hit-and-run-accident-with-power-assisted-bicycle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=13647","title":{"rendered":"Police looking for car driver after hit-and-run accident with power-assisted bicycle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013 The police are searching for a car driver who was involved in a hit-and-run incident with a power-assisted bicycle (PAB) along Upper Thomson Road on the afternoon of Nov 21.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The police were alerted to the accident at<!-- --> about 3pm<!-- --> along Upper Thomson Road towards MacRitchie Viaduct on the same day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">A<!-- --> 27-year-old male PAB rider<!-- --> was taken conscious to <!-- -->Woodlands Health Campus<!-- -->. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cEfforts to trace the car driver are under way,\u201d said the police, adding that investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">According to a post on Facebook group <!-- -->SG Road Vigilante<!-- -->, the man who was hurt is a food delivery rider.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In one of the photos in the post, the man can be seen with blood running down his face, and his bike can be seen on the ground, with a helmet and open cooler bag near it.<\/p>\n<p>In another photo, his head is bandaged as he is being tended to by three Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"tags-test-id\">\n<p><button data-testid=\"button-test-id\" class=\"layer-one border-default border interactive-button text-primary disabled:layer-disabled hover:disabled:layer-disabled default\" aria-label=\"button for Accidents - traffic\"><span class=\"font-button-md-semibold\">Accidents &#8211;
