From a sculpture of a nine-year-old pharaoh to cat mummies and an ancient tablet comparable to the Rosetta Stone, a new Hong Kong Palace Museum exhibition sheds light on ancient Egyptian civilisation.<\/p>\n

Opening November 20 and running until August 31, 2026, \u201cAncient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums\u201d showcases 250 artefacts, many loaned from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, with some having never been removed from Egyptian soil before this tour.<\/p>\n

Beyond the national treasures, the exhibition \u2013 which marks the 70th anniversary of China-Egypt diplomatic relations<\/span> next year \u2013 will also feature more than 10 multimedia installations, a series of public talks, workshops and guided tours.<\/div>\n

\u201cThis exhibition is more than a display. It is a dialogue between past and present, between Egypt and the world, and between two great cultures united by reverence for timeless beauty and human creativity,\u201d says Dr Mohamed Ismail Khaled, secretary general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) in Egypt.<\/p>\n
