Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 <\/em><\/strong>developer Treyarch Studios has said it intends to buff Aim Assist strength over range ahead of the shooter’s big Season 1 update, which still currently has no confirmed release date. In a new dev talk video, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 <\/em>design director Matt Scronce said the studio is overall happy with where Aim Assist is at, but will make some “very nuanced changes” following player feedback during the game’s launch week.<\/p>\n

There’s no word on when these changes will be implemented, but players were treated to a significant update earlier today when Treyarch Studios added Nuketown 2025 to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7<\/em>, complete <\/em>with its very own 24\/7 playlist. The iconic Black Ops 2 <\/em>version of this classic map has been faithfully remade with some slight aesthetic adjustments to fit the theme of Black Ops 7<\/em>, and now joins the likes of Raid, Hijacked, and Express in being remastered for Black Ops 7<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n Treyarch Is Buffing Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s Aim Assist

Just one day before the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7<\/em>, Treyarch Studios announced that it had made some big changes to the game’s Aim Assist. To be more specific, the adjustment was to Rotational Aim Assist. Prior to the change, full Rotational Aim Assist strength was achieved regardless of aiming direction or which stick was being controlled, but now a player’s right stick movement must be tracking an enemy target for Rotational Aim Assist to activate at full strength. Now the studio has announced another change to Black Ops 7<\/em>‘s Aim Assist, as Matt Scronce says Treyarch has been closely monitoring player feedback and internal data and will therefore be making some “nuanced changes” and slightly increasing Aim Assist strength over range.<\/p>\n

Generally, the majority of players were happy with the changes Treyarch implemented before the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7<\/em>, but many did feel that there had been little to no Aim Assist when aiming at a target at range. Hopefully, this slight change will help with long-range battles and find the perfect spot for the game’s Aim Assist. Scronce didn’t confirm when these changes will go live, but said fans can expect them before the launch of Season 1. While the game’s first season also doesn’t have a release date, it is speculated to begin in early December.<\/p>\n

The dev talk also touched upon weapon balancing, as Scronce says Treyarch has heard the feedback loud and clear regarding Call of Duty: Black Ops 7<\/em>‘s Submachine Guns. The design director confirmed that the studio intends to have a buff across the board for all SMGs, while also looking at specific attachments that target recoil and range. As for Marksman Rifles and Sniper Rifles, Scronce says there are no specific plans for nerfs or buffs just yet, but that Treyarch is monitoring the data and that the weapons should be “a bit more present, without being too dominant.” The same can also be said for Shotguns, as there are also no current plans for nerfs or buffs, but data is actively being monitored to ensure they are not overpowered.<\/p>\n
