OCBC<\/b> today (20 November 2025) announced that it added support for eight major e-wallets<\/b> used across Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam) inside its OCBC app<\/b> (iOS<\/u>, Android<\/u>).<\/p>\n
The personal banking and financial services corporation said it has added eight e-wallets, bringing the total to 10, up from the original 2 Mainland Chinese e-wallets (WeChat Pay, Alipay).<\/p>\n
The eight added ones (with their respective regions) are:<\/p>\n

- Touch \u2018n Go (Malaysia)<\/li>\n
- Momo (Vietnam)<\/li>\n
- GoPay (Indonesia)<\/li>\n
- LinkAja (Indonesia)<\/li>\n
- Ovo (Indonesia)<\/li>\n
- Coins (Philippines)<\/li>\n
- GCash (Philippines)<\/li>\n
- PayMaya (Philippines)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
This feature can be found under OCBC app\u2019s \u201cPay To Wallet<\/b>\u201d option. Each e-wallet service has its own set of verification requirements, such as identity checks, contact information, residency, or other criteria.<\/p>\n
According to OCBC\u2019s online explainer<\/u>, its implementation has zero transfer fees<\/b>, and it supports direct transfers to the recipient\u2019s mobile numbers (except for Touch \u2018n Go). However, all of them are subject to a minimum transaction amount<\/b>:<\/p>\n

Apparently, this is only just the beginning of OCBC\u2019s growing e-wallet support:<\/p>\n

For reference, OCBC said the two original Chinese e-wallets supported saw over S$60 million in transfers, a 4x increase compared to typical cross-border transfers to Mainland China. The wider range of digital wallets aims to cater to more foreign talents in Singapore who are looking to send money back home.<\/p>\n
The e-wallet support is powered by Visa Direct, which is supported across nearly 11 billion endpoints, including more than 3.5 billion accounts, 4 billion cards, and 3.5 billion digital wallets.<\/p>\n
What about travelling Singaporeans?<\/h2>\n
OCBC\u2019s added e-wallet support is targeted at expats and other workers based in Singapore who need to send money home without incurring excessive costs or delays typically seen in conventional remittance services.<\/p>\n
However, a few of those featured e-wallets can support Singaporean users. For example, Malaysian e-wallet Touch \u2018n Go already supports QR code payments and top-ups<\/u> using non-Malaysian credit\/debit cards and non-Malaysian phone numbers (similar to Alipay\u2019s support of foreign cards). <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
