From major pop stars to classical music icons, the Greater Bay Area (GBA) will play host to some exciting musical acts in December, including a beloved Hong Kong singer, who will perform a New Year\u2019s Eve show.<\/p>\n

1. Concerto di Placido Domingo: Guangzhou<\/h3>\n

Placido Domingo will perform at the Guangzhou Opera House on December 2.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Legendary opera singer Placido Domingo<\/span> is returning to the GBA after his October 2024 Macau concert.<\/div>\n
This time, he will perform at the Zaha Hadid<\/span>-designed Guangzhou Opera House, supported by the Cuban-American soprano Monica Conesa and accompanied by the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra.<\/div>\n

The programme is divided into two halves: the first will feature arias from Italian classics such as Tosca<\/em> and Il trovatore<\/em>, while the second will be made up of more modern pieces.<\/p>\n

The Spaniard, who has won various Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards, has sung in over 4,000 performances throughout his six-decade-long career.<\/p>\n
