The rise in popularity of Dispatch<\/em><\/strong> echoes the golden age of Telltale Games, with developer AdHoc creating one of the best choice-based narrative games in recent years. With Dispatch<\/em> having completed its 8-episode run, many fans are turning their attention toward a second season. However, the effects of the player’s choices on Dispatch<\/em>‘s narrative create a scenario where multiple different endings can occur, setting a second season up to establish which of the game’s drastically different endings is the canon one.<\/p>\n

Although Dispatch<\/em> Season 2 hasn’t officially been confirmed, AdHoc Studio has noted that it is a possibility, and Breaking Bad<\/em>‘s Aaron Paul, voice of Robert Robertson, has stated that he hopes to do more with the character. Signs are positive for another season of Dispatch<\/em>, especially after the game has far exceeded its sales expectations. It’s not exactly clear where this second season could take the story, but regardless of that direction, it will need to decide which of the first season’s many endings it will build upon.<\/p>\n

Throughout the game, Dispatch<\/em> will ask players to make crucial decisions that will dictate which ending they achieve. In some instances, even a seemingly minor dialogue choice can have unexpected consequences and can completely change the outcome of Dispatch<\/em>‘s story. For example, players intent on leading Invisigal toward a heroic ending can fail simply by distrusting her just one time, making it important to consider every choice the game presents.<\/p>\n
