A couple of ARC Raiders<\/em><\/strong> players on PlayStation 5 and PC recently decided to turn off crossplay for a week to determine which community had friendlier people, which resulted in some interesting findings. ARC Raiders<\/em> was released on October 30 and is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X\/S, and PC.<\/p>\n

Despite having a strong PvP element, it’s not uncommon for players within ARC Raiders<\/em>‘ community to come together and help one another. In fact, players recently smashed an ARC Raiders<\/em> community event that asked gamers to donate resources to unlock the new Stella Montis map. The response from players was so fierce that Embark Studios increased the amount of required materials, and the community still met the goal in under 24 hours.<\/p>\n

\n ARC Raiders Players Test the PS5 and PC Communities \n <\/h2>\n
In a recent post on Reddit, Monstras-Patrick shared images of an experiment conducted by two solo gamers, one who played the popular extraction shooter on PlayStation 5 and the other who played on PC. For this experiment, both players turned off ARC Raiders<\/em>‘ crossplay function, meaning they were only placed into lobbies with people on their own platform. The person on PS5 participated in 84 matches and met 237 people. Of those 237 people, 17.72% wished them luck, 24.47% said they were friendly before shooting anyway, 43.04% shot on sight, 11.81% teamed up but betrayed the player at extraction, and 2.95% actually teamed up and remained friendly through extraction.<\/p>\n

On the flip side, the person playing ARC Raiders<\/em> on PC seemed to have a vastly different experience. They participated in 51 matches and encountered 172 people along the way. Of those 172 players, 56.98% wished them luck, 4.07% lied about being friendly, 27.33% shot on sight, 1.74% betrayed the player at extraction, and 9.88% teamed up and remained friendly all the way through. Overall, it seems as if the PC community isn’t quite as confrontational and might be more honest about their intentions when declaring themselves friendly or teaming up. It’s worth noting that neither gamer played on Xbox Series X\/S, so there’s no way of knowing how that community compares to PS5 and PC.<\/p>\n
While some gamers are concerned about which platform has the friendliest community, others have declared that certain ARC Raiders<\/em> skins are a red flag when encountering people. For instance, the Raider Deck’s Ryder skin has gained a reputation for being hostile. However, this doesn’t seem to apply to all versions of the cosmetic. Instead, people have specifically complained about players using the Ryder skin with a mask and no helmet. With so much content to explore and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of ARC Raiders<\/em>.<\/p>\n
