Asia, was <!-- -->launched on Nov 16<!-- -->.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Published by <!-- -->Focus Publishing<!-- --> \u2013 an arm of SPH Media, which also publishes The Straits Times \u2013 the imprint will focus on subjects related to the Chinese diaspora, including culture, society, history and philosophy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">It also aims to establish a specialised platform to promote influential scholarly works and foster interdisciplinary discourse in the humanities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">An imprint refers to a distinct brand or division within a publishing house that focuses on a specific genre, market or type of book.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">An advisory committee comprising prominent Singaporean and international academics will oversee a review process to ensure the publication of high-quality works. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The committee comprises <!-- -->professors Wang Gungwu, Wong Sin Kiong and Ong Chang Woei from the National University of Singapore,<!-- --> <!-- -->Prof David Wang Der-wei from Harvard University<!-- --> and <!-- -->National Taiwan University\u2019s Dr Ko Chia Cian.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Ms Lee Huay Leng, <!-- -->editor-in-chief of SPH Media\u2019s Chinese Media Group,<!-- --> said: \u201cWhen we think about Singapore\u2019s role in the world and its unique strengths, we should not view it purely through the lens of profit and loss.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Ms Lee added that the Chinese Media Group has always believed it is more than just a news organisation and that it has a vital part in preserving Singapore\u2019s cultural and historical ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\"
