Digital Chat Station claims Apple is working to embed the iPhone\u2019s front-facing camera under the display. The implementation is expected to follow the debut of under-display Face ID technology<\/b>, which is rumoured to make its first appearance on the iPhone 18 Pro.<\/p>\n
The idea of an in-screen camera isn\u2019t new, since several Android phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series and RedMagic gaming phones have had this feature for some years. However, because display layers will block light from reaching the camera sensor, the image quality is lower than conventional implementations. If Apple plans to bring this feature to the 2027 iPhone, it would probably have developed new technologies to address this issue. <\/p>\n
The plan to introduce an in-screen camera also aligns with recent reports of an all-screen iPhone arriving in 2027<\/b>. Earlier this year, The Information reported that at least one new 2027 iPhone model would have the selfie camera and Face ID embedded under the display.
