Singapore\u2019s Foreign Minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan met his Malaysian counterpart Dato\u2019 Seri Utama Mohamad Hasan in Kuala Lumpur to strengthen ties and prepare for the upcoming Singapore\u2013Malaysia Leaders\u2019 Retreat.<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan met with Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato\u2019 Seri Utama Mohamad Hasan in Kuala Lumpur ahead of the 12th Singapore\u2013Malaysia Leaders\u2019 Retreat, which will be hosted in Singapore next month. The meeting reaffirmed the close and enduring ties between the two neighbours, underpinned by shared history, mutual trust, and strong cooperation.<\/p>\n

Both ministers had a substantive and forward-looking discussion that followed up on the recent meeting between Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Prime Minister Dato\u2019 Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the ASEAN Summit.
