Once the backbone of the city\u2019s post-war economy, employing over 30 per cent of the workforce in the 1950s, the industry laid the foundation for Hong Kong\u2019s industrial rise. A full-day experience of insight and exchange<\/strong><\/p>\n On 27 November 2025, the Textile Council of Hong Kong will present the Hong Kong Textile and Garment Industry Conference 2025 cum Mini Showcase at The Mills Fabrica in Tsuen Wan. Under the theme \u201cThreading the Needle \u2013 Start with Innovation, Make it a Revolution\u201d, this full-day hybrid event brings together a diverse community of industry professionals\u2014from senior executives, designers, and manufacturers to craftsmen and emerging talents\u2014to explore the future of fashion and textiles.<\/p>\n Funded by the Trade and Industrial Organisation Support Fund of the Trade and Industry Department, HKSAR Government, the conference will unveil the findings of\u00a0Hong Kong Textile and Garment Industry Report, based on six months of interviews in 2025 with 10 leading enterprises from Hong Kong and neighbouring regions. These companies are at the forefront of five key transformational directions: cross-sector collaboration, product diversification, material innovation, technological advancement, and digitalisation. The report offers a timely perspective on how these forces are reshaping the textile and garment landscape, and how Hong Kong is positioned to lead this transformation.<\/p>\n The programme is designed to inform, inspire, and connect.
