I did a double-take when I received news that Apple and Issey Miyake have teamed up to create a bag that carries your iPhone called the iPhone Pocket<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Essentially, it\u2019s a knitted bag designed to hold your iPhone. Apple says its \u201csingular 3D-knitted construction\u201d enables it to accommodate any iPhone. <\/p>\n You can tie the iPhone Pocket around a bag. Pictured here is Issey Miyake\u2019s Bao Bao bag.<\/p>\n Photo: Apple<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n The design is certainly eye-catching and is said to be inspired by the concept of \u201ca piece of cloth\u201d and the pleats that made the brand famous.<\/p>\n Yoshiyuki Miyamae, design director of Miyake Design Studio, said: \u201ciPhone Pocket explores the concept of \u2018the joy of wearing iPhone in your own way.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Issey Miyake has a bit of history with Apple. Miyake, the founder of the brand, was friends with Steve Jobs and made Jobs\u2019 signature black turtleneck top.<\/p>\n The iPhone Pocket comes in eight bright colours.<\/p>\n Photo: Apple<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n There are two versions,<\/b> one with a shorter strap and another that\u2019s longer. The shorter version can be held in the hand, hung over the arm, or tied onto bags. The longer version can be worn directly on the body. <\/p>\n The iPhone Pocket is made in Japan and will be available in eight colours<\/b>: lemon, mandarin, purple, pink, sapphire, cinnamon, and black.<\/p>\n The iPhone Pocket is a limited-edition release and will be exclusive to Apple Orchard Road<\/b>.
