Security is our shared responsibility to ensure tourism continues to operate smoothly and benefit all parties,\u201d Bali police chief Daniel Adityajaya said at a meeting in Denpasar with 24 consulates on the island, the Bali Sun reported on Friday.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Representatives from all the major consulates \u2013 including Australia, China, Japan, the US and Russia \u2013 attended the October 31 meeting, which was similar to the one that Adityajaya called in February.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">From January to October, there were 301 criminal cases involving 309 foreign nationals, according to Bali\u2019s police.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Apart from visa and immigration related violations, foreigners had also been involved in high-profile criminal cases ranging from narcotics and fraud to illegal investing and cybercrime, Adityajaya said.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Suwandi Prihantoro, Bali police\u2019s director of community development, said: \u201cThe police cannot solve this problem alone.
