U.S. president Donald Trump made his return to TikTok on Oct. 7, and used his first post since the 2024 election to claim that he “saved” the platform. The statement came even though the deal for TikTok’s U.S. operations has yet to be fully finalised. Trump signed an executive order last week approving a deal reportedly worth about US$14 billion (S$18.1 billion).
